Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Dresden // Starting: as of now

As Full Stack Software Engineer you are decisive in shaping the design and implementation of our cloud platform service. This involves the specification and creation of APIs, backend and frontend services as well as the deployment as part of our cloud infrastructure. You work with big data, machine learning technology and care about the quality of our services.

Our Mission

We make the wear of the most expensive vehicle wear part, the battery, transparent. By unlocking valuable information in the field data that continuously accumulates during daily system operation, we enable our customers to develop more economical battery systems, reduce operational risks and establish after-use concepts (2nd-use).

We are an experienced team of engineers, battery experts and software developers and, as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI, we work with state-of-the-art technology for a higher goal – more on www.volytica.com.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end solutions using microservices
• Successfully completed development projects using Java, Python or JavaScript
• Expert language proficiency in German, English or both

Beneficial Qualifications and Experiences

• Broad understanding of message based communication, REST and API design, microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Design and operation of containerized applications
• Experience in using SQL/NoSQL database systems and schema design
• JavaScript and/or TypeScript in combination with Angular and/or React
• Experience in designing systems for public clouds (e.g. Azure, AWS and/or Google)
• Your toolbox includes automated testing, CI/CD and tools like Git/ Jira
