Aarhus / Berlin / Dresden / Vienna, 11 November 2025 – Dynamic, a leading investor in renewable energy assets, Amperecloud, a provider of digital monitoring and asset management solutions, volytica diagnostics, a specialist in battery analytics and diagnostics, and enspired, a technology company for AI-based energy trading, are collaborating to implement a fully integrated approach to battery storage operation.
The 15.8 MW/32 MWh storage project in Tangermünde, owned by Dynamic, is the first deployment to combine monitoring, battery diagnostics, and energy trading into a single, coordinated system. These features are integrated to simplify operations and ensure competitiveness in today’s energy market.

This initiative addresses a common challenge in the battery storage sector: the use of fragmented digital tools for operational control, battery condition monitoring, and commercial optimization. By integrating their platforms, the partners aim to enable continuous, data-driven system management, from performance monitoring to market participation.
“Battery energy storage systems are a proven and essential part of the renewable energy landscape,” says Otto Adam Nielsen, CEO of Dynamic. “By optimizing the operation of our installed systems, we aim to improve their contribution to grid stability while delivering long-term value for our investors.”

Amperecloud, which provides the monitoring platform at the core of the system, enables a standardized interface across technologies and sites.
“The energy transition won’t succeed with megawatts alone. It requires reliable, streamlined operations,” explains Frederik Merz, the CEO of Amperecloud. “By integrating diagnostics and trading into our platform, we enable operators to transition from fragmented tools to connected processes. That’s where efficiency and value are created.”

volytica diagnostics provides the battery intelligence layer of the system. Its analytics are fully embedded into the Amperecloud interface and are a standard part of daily operations, enabling continuous assessment of degradation, cell imbalance, and system behavior. This assessment is required for reliable performance and long-term planning.
“A battery is not one system; it’s hundreds of systems pretending to be one,” says Claudius Jehle, CEO of volytica diagnostics. “We help detect failure modes early, when they’re still manageable. It’s not about chasing anomalies; it’s about giving operators the confidence to use their systems closer to their true potential, not just the visible one.”

enspired, Europe’s leading battery optimizer, provides the trading intelligence layer of the system. Their software uses real-time data to simulate thousands of market scenarios daily and define dispatch strategies that balance profitability with technical and contractual limits.
“Maximizing battery value in the market requires the ability to adapt continuously to price signals, asset limits, and trading conditions,” says Jürgen Mayerhofer, the CEO of enspired. “Our platform simulates and evaluates a wide range of strategies across day-ahead, intraday, balancing markets to ensure battery flexibility is used as efficiently and profitably as possible.”
The Tangermünde battery storage integration sets a new standard for operational efficiency and transparency – ranging from operations and analytics to trading – into a single, fully functional system. This setup increases transparency, enables early fault detection, and supports efficient revenue generation throughout the asset lifecycle. As the partners’ first joint project, it sets a precedent for future deployments within this collaboration and beyond.

A: It is the first commercial-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) in Europe to integrate asset management, battery analytics, and energy trading into one digital platform.
Typically, these systems are operated separately, but Tangermünde unifies them in a single operational workflow.
This reduces complexity, improves coordination, and enhances decision-making across the asset lifecycle.
A: Most storage systems use different software tools:
1. One software tool for asset management itself (EMS, SCADA, etc.) to operate and maintain the BESS.
2. One software tool for trading (algorithmic trading platform).
3. One software/OEM-proprietary tool to access BMS data, which is often securely locked away or sold as an expensive extra.
4. One software tool for battery analytics and monitoring (algorithms for battery KPIs such as state of health and proprietary volytica KPIs e.g., stress level), to ensure performance and safety.
These tools rarely interact and are often tied to proprietary interfaces from different providers or OEMs.
This fragmented setup makes it harder to optimize performance, detect risks early, and plan reliably across the system’s lifetime.
A: A unified system allows for the continuous, data-driven operation of battery storage.
Operators and asset managers gain full transparency into technical performance, improving efficiency and maintaining competitiveness.
Key benefits include:
– One user interface instead of multiple logins
– Real-time insights into battery health and degradation
– Actionable recommendations through volytica’s traffic light system and vdx sentry
– Optimized predictive maintenance and reduced downtime
– Direct trading integration for efficient market participation
– Maximized revenue with trading while staying within technical and warranty limits
– Scalable asset management across OEMs and sites
Combining operations, analytics, and trading on one platform simplifies storage management and supports profitability at scale.
A: Project developers, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies, plant owners, operators, and large energy companies, including utilities, benefit from this configuration.
This configuration simplifies asset management, increases profitability, and supports scalable deployment across various battery storage portfolios by combining operation, continuous condition monitoring for batteries, and trading within a single platform.
