Cloud Engineer

Our AWS based cloud platform is the backbone of our battery diagnostics products. As Cloud Engineer you are decisive for the architecture, design and implementation of infrastructure services that are based on public cloud infrastructure. This includes the specification and realization of APIs and analytics services, Software defined networking as well as the implementation of IAC. The availability and scalability of our services is shaped by you and improved.

Every battery must be used to its true potential – this is volytica’s vision statement. They power cars, buses, trains, construction machinery and renewable energy plants. Without them, there will be no energy and transport transition. But: Although they are so crucial, users, owners, investors and even manufacturers have little knowledge about how this expensive and complex product degrades, ages and which safety risks are associated with batteries. 

To provide easily accessible & agnostics technology, empowering our clients to make conscious decisions for every battery’s safe, sustainable and efficient utilization! 

We are a team of domain experts, with a strong technological background, drawing from more than 10 years of experience and top notch Fraunhofer technology.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in the operation of Public Cloud based solutions (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Successfully completed cloud based development projects using Java, Python or JavaScript
• Expert language proficiency in German, English or both

Beneficial Qualifications and Experiences

• Broad understanding of message based communication, microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Design and operation of containerized applications in cluster based environments (AWS ECS / Kubernetes)
• Development and operation of ML pipelines in the context of LLMs 
• A track record of AWS based projects or relevant certificates
• Experience in IAC using terraform
• Your toolbox includes automated testing, CI/CD and tools like Git / Jira
• Previous work in agile teams using SCRUM / Kanban
